Everything about the work, in one place
Agreements
Scope, rates and terms both sides have agreed to, kept in one place.
Jobs
Each piece of work with its deposit, milestones and status.
Messages
One conversation per topic, so nothing gets lost in a group chat.
Calls
Voice and video calls in the app, with an optional summary afterwards.
Files
Drawings, photos and documents shared with the client, all in one list.
Billing
Invoices and payments by card, with a clear record of what was charged.
Who it's for
Freelancers
Designers, consultants, therapists, filmmakers, tradespeople and anyone who works for clients on their own. Keep every client relationship organised, get paid, and offer ongoing support after a job ends.
Their clients
One place for every freelancer you hire: what you agreed, what's been done, what you owe, and a direct line to the person doing the work.
How texting works Rolling out
Some clients would rather text than install an app. roster relays one-to-one conversation texts between a freelancer and their client through a roster number, so neither of them has to share their personal phone number.
The client agrees first
A client gives their mobile number to a freelancer they're working with and agrees to get texts from them through roster. The freelancer confirms that consent in the app before any text is sent.
The pair gets its own number
roster gives the client a dedicated roster number for that freelancer. It is not rotating or temporary, and it stays the same for as long as the relationship lasts.
The client texts from their own phone
The freelancer writes in the roster app; the client reads and replies by ordinary text from their own phone, no app needed. Replies to the relay number are routed back to the same freelancer and kept in their shared conversation.
Personal numbers stay private
Texts come from the roster number, never the freelancer's own phone, so the client never sees the freelancer's personal number. The client's number is used only to relay that one conversation and is never shown to anyone else.
The first text a client receives
roster: Maria of Rossetti Design added you to message you about your work together. Reply here to reach them. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. keeproster.com/sms
- Conversation texts only. Messages are written by the freelancer about work they're doing for that client: questions, updates, scheduling, and occasionally a link to pay an invoice on keeproster.com. roster sends no marketing or bulk texts, and freelancers may not use it for them.
- Stop any time. Reply STOP to stop texts from that number, START to resume, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Your number is never sold. Mobile numbers and texting consent are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
- Rolling out. Texting is being switched on for roster numbers now. Until it's on for a conversation, the freelancer and client message each other in the app.
